Load up for the Magical Mystery Tour!

So internet access is not nearly as simple as we were hoping. In fact, we are down here at Lisa's office on her computer while she is in a me
eting, and I'm going to try and knock out this post quickly before she comes and wants to do some kind of "work" or something...

Last Thursday we jumped on the bus to the town of Crewe outside our flat, which you can see here...
Here we are at the bus stop itself...

Once we got to Crewe, we jumped on the Northen Midlands train for Liverpool, home of The Beatles! We got there and got our bearings, and headed to the Cavern district. If you are among the uninitiated, the Cavern is the Club on Mathew Street in Liverpool where the The Beatles really cut their teeth in the music world. Here are some pics from there, from in front of the club (which is actually a recreation, but that's ok), and with the statue of John Lennon...

And, after we finished there, we strolled down to the Albert Dock and got a little history in the Maritime Museum before loading up for the Magical Mystery Tour. It took us all over Liverpool and to the homesites of all the bandmates. It was fascinating, check it out...

This is out front of the house George grew up in, people live there now, but they don't seem to mind company...

This is the house John Lennon lived in, it backed up to the wall of a children's home called, well, check the picture below this one...

This is our guide talking out in front of Paul's house about how John and Paul met and started writing songs there. Paul still stays in this house when he comes to Liverpool, which is more often than you would think.

All in all, we had a blast in Liverpool. We got home late and crashed into bed. Stoke City beat Newcastle United in their version of football on Sunday, which did nothing to make up for the Bulldogs performance that I had to read about on the internet, because there's not much chance of seeing any American football anywhere around here. We're having a great time, let us hear from you....Grizdawg out.
